HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Christmas Eve storm brought flash flooding to the San Bernardino Mountains, forcing road closures to Highway 138 that remain in effect as of Friday morning.
Hwy 138 from Interstate 15 to Summit Valley Road (Hesperia side) is closed with no ETA of opening due to heavy floods and partially washed-out roadway.
Hwy 173 remains open from Hwy 138 (Silverwood side) with minor flooding on parts of the roadway.
Drivers should use alternate routes and avoid attempting to cross flooded areas.
