EXPECT MAJOR DELAYS ALL DAY again Today on Hwy 2, Hwy 138 and on Lone Pine Canyon Rd major traffic backup going to Wrightwood. People are driving to Wrightwood to play in the snow at Mountain High. Sorry there is no snow in the town.
Give yourself extra time to arrive to your destination. Don’t tailgate and don’t attempt to pass illegally. California Highway Patrol says, “Arrive Alive!”
Here is some tips:
Time to avoid Hwy 2 going to Wrightwood is 8am to 5pm, avoid time to leave Wrightwood is from 2pm to 7pm. Time to avoid Hwy 138 going to Hwy 2 is 9am to 4pm then going back down to the 15 freeway is 2pm to 9pm. Also Northbound 15 will start backing up at the Hwy 138 offramp. Watch for STOP vehicles on the offramp/freeway
Use alternate routes if possible. 30 minutes to over a hour delay time can be at times.
