CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A overturned vehicle caused a major traffic delay this afternoon/evening in the Cajon Pass.
This rollover vehicle accident was reported at 3:55pm on Tuesday April 28, 2020. The vehicle was in the southbound lanes on Interstate 15 just before the truck escape ramp.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the incident of a single vehicle rollover accident.
The vehicle involved in the crash was a maroon Dodge Durango. Two people were inside the vehicle and walked away with minor injuries.
The accident temporarily blocked the fast lane as they worked to retrieve the vehicle down the embankment.
Reports from the CHP traffic log stated the Dodge blew out a tire, lost control hit the guardrail causing the Dodge to rolled over multiple times. The vehicle went about 150 feet down the embankment in the center median.
About 30 feet of center divider guardrail was damage and may need emergency work.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.
