FONTANA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Department of Transportation Caltrans will continue the Pavement Rehabilitation Project on Interstate 15 in the city of Fontana on Friday February 26 – Monday morning March 1st this weekend.
This roadwork project includes repaving the four lanes in both directions, repaving the on and off ramps, replace the bridge, guardrails, and slab replacement in lanes.
This weekend lane closures will be on the northbound side. Lane closures will start at about a mile before Sierra Ave. to Glen Helen Pkwy.
- Starts at 10pm Friday night, ALL DAY Saturday and Sunday, ends at 4am Monday* morning. At least 1 will be open, the #2, #3 and #4 lane are planned to be closed all weekend in the northbound directions.
- EXPECT DELAYS at least 30 minutes to over a hour+ on the peak times. (peak time is 10am-6pm Sat & Sun)
Sierra Ave on ramp and Glen Helen Pkwy off ramp will be closed during the closure time.
*Lanes may open earlier if they finish early.
The work schedule will be subject to change due to weather or construction-related issues.
Motorists are advised you to use alternate routes by taking the eastbound 210 Freeway to northbound 215 freeway this will be the fastest way, or take the side streets.
Always reduce your speed through the work zone. Caltrans expects to complete the project by end of June 2021.
