LITTLE ROCK, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon led authorities on a high-speed pursuit through four counties Thursday afternoon. Finally being apprehended on Highway 138 near Palmdale.
The pursuit started in Santa Ana and made its way from Orange County through Riverside and San Bernardino counties before ending in Los Angeles County.
The suspect behind the wheel of the white Toyota Camry Solara sedan was wanted for allegedly using his vehicle as a weapon. As California Highway Patrol vehicles chased the suspect driving 80 mph on the 91 freeway continued on the northbound Interstate 215 freeway then onto northbound I-15 freeway up the Cajon Pass. The suspect took the Highway 138 exit and started heading westbound Highway 138 toward Phelan. Minutes later the suspects vehicle suffered three flat tires.
With help by a CHP unit a PIT maneuver spun out the vehicle. The toyota ended stuck on the dirt shoulder off of Hwy 138 near 72nd Street in Little Rock. The suspect was taken into custody without incident after the two hour chase.
