HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A box truck rolled-over after being hit by a big rig while it was apparently disabled on the right shoulder of northbound Interstate 15 in Hesperia Monday morning authorities said.
The crash was reported about 7:53am on Monday October 4, 2021. Both vehicles were traveling on northbound Interstate 15 just before Joshua Street Highway 395 exit. California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the incident both on the right shoulder of the freeway.
From what the CHP traffic log stated, the box truck was disabled on the shoulder hauling 36,000 pounds of food goods and a passing white big rig loaded with Home Depot items crashed into the box truck.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with various aches and pains to there bodies. Debris was spilled on to the freeway and Caltrans was requested to help cleanup. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Victorville Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
