COLTON, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting the public that construction contractors will be performing work requiring full lane closures on Interstate 215 (I-215) at the Washington Street Overcrossing in the City of Colton.
A FULL FREEWAY CLOSURE will occur NIGHTLY on Monday, June 19 through Friday, March 23 from 9pm to 5am*
WORK OPERATIONS WILL REQUIRE CLOSURE OF ALL NORTHBOUND and SOUTHBOUND LANES on I-215
between Interstate 10 (I-10) and Washington St., INCLUDING eastbound and westbound CONNECTORS. from I-10 to I-215.

Drivers should anticipate significant traffic delays and seek alternate routes. Detour and Portable Changeable Message Signs will be placed ahead of closure areas to indicate alternate routes.
NOTE: The current posted speed limit on I-215 is 55 mph following Construction Work Zone Speed Limit Reduction provisions.
PLAN AHEAD and drive safely being mindful of closures and alternate routes. Semi-trucks and oversized vehicles: To avoid traffic delays consider using alternate routes on I-210, I-15, SR-91 or SR-60 to access surrounding communities. Drive safely being mindful of no truck signage on alternate routes, clearance, and low width zones.
