CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting the public that construction contractors will perform night work on Interstate 15 from the 210 freeway in Fontana up in the Cajon Pass and on Highway 138 Hesperia side. If Weather permitting.

Nighttime work will occur Monday, October 16, – Saturday October 21 from 7 pm to 5am* Saturday work will end Sunday morning. Work performed will include Northbound and Southbound Unsound Checking at various locations, including truck bypass locations. On Interstate 15. Closures will vary from 1 lane to 4 lanes during the night. Please note, various lane and connector closures will occur in the project zone. Work performed will include deck rehabilitation, polyester concrete overlay, methacrylate, replace bridge rail, replace joint seals, approach slabs, repair soffit. All work is dependent on contractor receiving proper materials for each job function. It can be changed or canceled at any time.

The following are planned work and closure locations:

  • Northbound & Southbound Interstate 15 from Cleghorn Rd to Kenwood Ave.
    Alternating Lane Reduction & Lane Closures.
  • Southbound Interstate 15 Cherry Avenue Bridge Work -Alternating Lane Reductions & Lane Closures
  • Northbound & Southbound Interstate 15 from the 210 freeway to Summit Ave. Alternating Lane Reductions & Lane Closures for Bridge Work
  • Interstate -15 Beech Avenue Bridge Work Eastbound & Westbound Bridge Intersection. Alternating Lane Closures.
  • Connector Closures
    SB 15 to EB 210-Connector Closure & SB 15 to WB 210-Connector Closure.
    NB 15 to EB 210 Connector Closure & NB 15 to WB 210 Connector Closure.

Times can subject to change and could go longer or start earlier. On and off ramps may be subject to closure. Please use caution and remember to reduce your speed when approaching and driving through the construction zones.

***Roadwork will may not be in the same spot each night.*** Remember roadwork on Saturday night with lane closure.
