Update from Caltrans on Monday. The I-15 Joshua St. Bridge project in Hesperia is canceled at this time no rescheduled date at this.

HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Bridge demolish on the Joshua Street bridge over Interstate 15 in Hesperia will begin soon.

This work is part of a $2.2 million Bridge Maintenance Project funded through Senate Bill (SB1) Gas Tax, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, that refurbishes and upgrades this bridge.

A sequence of four overnight closures on Interstate 15 Freeway in Hesperia will begin Friday night as Caltrans carries out maintenance work on the Joshua Street Bridge.

Preparations to demolish bridge is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 18 on the Joshua Street overcrossing on I-15. The Joshua Street Bridge will be FULLY CLOSED, with no through access over the bridge.

The entire freeway will be shut down between 11pm to 7:30am** Saturday night into Sunday morning on October 19, October 26, November 2 and November 16 to accommodate the project, authorities said. Please plan accordingly on these dates or Expect Major Delays on the side streets near the closure.

Detours will be posted and available for all traffic motorist.

Traffic detours will be redirected from northbound I-15 Freeway to Highway 395 to Highway 18 (Palmdale Rd) during the closures.

Main Street and Ranchero Road on and off ramps will be crowded and Mariposa Rd will have heavy traffic.

**Times can subject to change and could go longer or start earlier. Schedules dates are subject to change due to inclement weather or construction issues.

Construction on the bridge is expected to be complete by late Spring 2025.
