HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi tractor-trailer overturned early Monday morning on Interstate 15, prompting major traffic delays and lane closures.
The crash happened on the northbound side of I-15 just before the Bear Valley Road exit at around 3:15am on May 11, 2026, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said they believe the driver of the FedEx semi somehow lost control of the truck, collided with the concrete barrier and then flipped onto its side.
The wreck caused a huge chunk of the concrete Krail to be removed from the center divider.
One vehicle a white Kia K4 sedan had damage to the windshield and hood from debris from the semi crash.
One person the semi driver was transported to Desert Valley Hospital by San Bernardino County Fire, according to the CHP traffic log.
The semi was loaded with approximately 80,000 pounds of packages.
CHP log stated the semi spill an estimated 100 gallons of diesel that was contained in the center divider.
Caltrans and multiple tow trucks had the fast lane and the middle lane blocked for the recovery and the cleanup of the diesel.
