HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Caltrans issued emergency lane closures, and multiple traffic breaks which resulted in major traffic jams for Interstate 15 commuters on Thursday.

Caltrans stated in an email that the construction company will be doing daytime restriping operations and pothole repairs on I-15 in both directions from Bear Valley Rd. to Oak Hill Rd. Friday March 3rd, Tuesday March 14 and Thursday March 16 at 7am to 4pm on each day*. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather and dependent on the temperature.

Multiple people in the Pain In The Pass Facebook Group have stated Caltrans needs to fix the potholes and the traffic lanes (stripes). Caltrans is fixing the issues and now its an inconvenience and people are stuck in traffic.

Caltrans said, With freezing temperatures its unopposable to have the paint (stripes) to dry so they have to do it in the daytime with the warmer temps.

Expect major delays in this area due to ONLY having one or two lanes open.

*Times are subject to change and could go longer. Please use caution and remember to reduce your speed when approaching and driving through the construction zones
